Nalini Karan is one of the most patient clients. She does not mind waiting for longer period of time as long as the end product that she gets is satisfying. Hence she rarely pressurizes me to give her early delivery dates. It is a pleasure designing clothes for her and her two daughters as they are very appreciative about embroideries and my weakness for embroidery is their strength. I love to design embroideries on saris, blouses, salwar sets, scarves....anything the customer wants to be embroidered, I am game for it.
Nalini is seen wearing saris for which the blouses were designed at my store. The pink sari has a brasso blouse which needed some kind of embellishment that would pop out to subdue the brasso effect. Hence we made velvet embroidery onto the blouse for her. In the second picture, the embroidery which is generally used on sleeves has been put on the back and the sleeves are matched with a matching small border. There are much more lovely blouses that have been designed for her but unfortunately, she has not worn them to my store wherein I could have taken her picture. I can understand as those saris are all functional wear.
