Dhothi salwar which originated in the villages of Pakistan is in vogue. It is much preferred because it looks stylish and though the villagers wore it in cotton fabric for their comfort, we, designers prefer to give it an improvised look with different textures. The cowls that fall on the side of the salwar give a very trendy look to the kurthi worn with it. The kurthi is heavily worked with brass sequins for that exclusive party wear effect. Priya is wearing a royal blue gown made out of satin and embroidered net. She was referred to my store by another client for whom I had made the wedding gown. The net is given in the skirt as a kali panel and the sleeves are in net to give that sheer effect and the net is draped in front and neatly pinned up with a broach.
