A pleasant combination of embroidery has been used on the front panel borders and an ethnic creeper on one side of the dress. The material is in Net and the inner lining has velvet polka dots in black  color to add to the drama on this outfit. The sleeves are edged with colorful embroidery matching to the outfit and the dupatta, that is double shaded. The bottom is a crepe material in royal blue color. The best part about this outfit is, that it is available in the form of a dress material. It can be yours for just Rs......any guesses?

CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK

Sophia and Elango got recently married and this is their first Valentine's Day together after marriage. I wish them lots of happiness and a happy married life together. Sophia got her wedding gown designed with me. She wanted a few changes in the style, as we proceeded with her gown and ultimately we managed to create it to her satisfaction.

I have specially put up the picture of their wedding card that was designed by Elango himself. He is a caricature artist and you can visit his website 'elosof' for more details related to his work.

Sophia's gown is embroidered with a thin satin ribbon and swaroski stones were interspersed on the upper half of the bodice and layers were created with the tissue fabric. Satin was used as the lining and the first layer was lifted up on the side to give a cone like drape. Roses were also made out of tissue and attached as a broach on the body and the waist. Her sleeves were made in  puff style to add that vintage look to the gown.

Dear Sophia - Congratulations! I hereby take great pleasure in presenting you with a gift coupon that can be redeemed at my store. Kindly check your email for more details. God Bless you both.

CUSTOMER OF THE WEEK - SANDHYA

Sandhya is one of my oldest client with whom the store has grown from a mere business philosophy to its present outlook. She has become my best friend too and is the best critic through thick and thin. She is now gone to US on a vacation to spend time with her two lovely grand children. I miss her a lot.

In the first picture, Sandhya is seen wearing a green and pink dress that is in Chanderi with a lovely dupatta. The pastley print on the fabric is in velvet and that is what makes it stand out prominently. In the next picture, she is seen wearing a silk sari in orange color. She wanted some traditional embroidery on it. Hence we made kundan work which is associated with temple jewelry. The motifs have been sparsely placed and the blouse has been made heavy with similar work. We have used white and fuschia color stones as a contrast to the sari.
As a thanksgiving, La Princesse would like to present her with a gift coupon.

Dear Sandhya, Kindly check your email for more details. I also take this opportunity to wish you a 'Very Happy Birthday' that falls on Saturday 11th February 2012

Tips on Preserving Expensive Clothes

Wrap the clothes in white cotton or muslin before storing. This will help in preserving the color and the sheen on the dress.
If you do not plan to wear these clothes for a few months, do not iron it before storing. It is better to iron it just before wearing it.
It is a good idea to air the clothes, away from direct sunlight, twice a year.
Never use napthalene balls along with heavy clothes with zari work on it, as they will get tarnished.
Avoid spraying perfume directly on the zari embroidery of such clothes.
If clothes have perspiration smell, dry clean them before storing them away and remember to give them only to a trusted launderer.
If the clothes have got stained while usage, never pack them inside before getting rid of them. They may turn out to be a stubborn stain.
Fabrics should not be over exposed to sunlight.
