FASHION NEWS FROM STUDIO LA PRINCESSE

DESIGNER KAFTHAN

Colorfully embroidered kafthan worn by model Pradhayini in the La Princesse Fashion Show held at Dublin, Hotel Park Sheraton was an instant hit with many queries pouring in for same. A kafthan is a loose garment that is worn easily and suits all body shapes. It is one of the most most comfortable and versatile garment.

PRIVILEGED CUSTOMERS FOR THIS WEEK

Indumathy and Gayathri are friends who were shopping for a similar kind of dress. They visited my store on a friend's recommendation and were happy to find something that was similar at the same time different from the regular stuff available in the markets. They opted to choose kalamkari print dress and the pattern was made according to their body structures. Kalamkari is painting with a pen on a plain dyed fabric and is very time consuming but the result is ethnic and very pleasant.

Congratulations to both of you! As a thanksgiving, La Princesse would like to present you with a gift voucher. Kindly check your email for more details on same.

Tips on Preserving Expensive Clothes

Wrap the clothes in white cotton or muslin before storing. This will help in preserving the color and the sheen on the dress.
If you do not plan to wear these clothes for a few months, do not iron it before storing. It is better to iron it just before wearing it.
It is a good idea to air the clothes, away from direct sunlight, twice a year.
Never use napthalene balls along with heavy clothes with zari work on it, as they will get tarnished.
Avoid spraying perfume directly on the zari embroidery of such clothes.
If clothes have perspiration smell, dry clean them before storing them away and remember to give them only to a trusted launderer.
If the clothes have got stained while usage, never pack them inside before getting rid of them. They may turn out to be a stubborn stain.
Fabrics should not be over exposed to sunlight.
