Brinda Reddy happened to drop by my store while she was window shopping in the mall, she said. But when she visited my store she actually liked the clothes herein and so she bought an ethnic dress material. She also took the Computer Aided Fashion Design Consultancy (CAFD) with me. Hence you can see her picture before the consultancy and also after the consultancy. She had a make over and a hair cut and Voila!......the change is for all to see. Isn't she looking stunningly gorgeous after the make over? The dress she is wearing is in plain black raw silk and a printed tussor silk dupatta that has some rustic colors on it. She even picked up matching accessories at my store. Though the silhouette looks simple, it is especially made in a manner that it makes the person wearing appear slimmer. Nalini Karan is one of the most patient clients. She does not mind waiting for longer period of time as long as the end product that she gets is satisfying. Hence she rarely pressurizes me to give her early delivery dates. It is a pleasure designing clothes for her and her two daughters as they are very appreciative about embroideries and my weakness for embroidery is their strength. I love to design embroideries on saris, blouses, salwar sets, scarves....anything the customer wants to be embroidered, I am game for it. Nalini is seen wearing saris for which the blouses were designed at my store. The pink sari has a brasso blouse which needed some kind of embellishment that would pop out to subdue the brasso effect. Hence we made velvet embroidery onto the blouse for her. In the second picture, the embroidery which is generally used on sleeves has been put on the back and the sleeves are matched with a matching small border. Rajalaksmi or Raji is a customer whom I get to see at times, whenever I begin to get a thought, that she has forgotten my store. Telepathy seems to work in her case. She is always with two extreme situations - either she needs her clothes in a great hurry or she tends to give her clothes and forget that she has given me for designing. She is a very sweet person and has been with us for almost a decade now. Raji is seen wearing a pretty green and fuschia combination sari with colorful thread work done on it. The sari is half and half style. The blouse is in a bronze fabric in shimmer brocade. The embroidery on the back of the blouse is designed to match the embroidery on the sari.
